Planet of the Inks is an independent custom apparel atelier located at 1801 Columbia Road NW, Suite 205, in the vibrant Adams Morgan neighborhood of Northwest Washington, DC. The studio specializes in low-volume and bespoke garment decoration, catering to local entrepreneurs, marathon runners, musical acts, family reunions, and boutique retailers seeking distinctive wearable merchandise.

The shop utilizes direct-to-film transfers, custom vinyl graphics, and specialty thermal films to render detailed, multi-colored designs onto cotton tees, polyester sportswear, blended fleece, and tote bags. The transfer process produces flexible, stretch-resistant prints that maintain high color brilliance through repeated wash cycles without heavy hand-feel. Printing equipment specifications are not publicly published.

Planet of the Inks operates on a client-first model with zero minimum order requirements, enabling creators to print single proof shirts or small batches affordably. Consultations and production pickups are scheduled by appointment at the Columbia Road studio, with standard orders completing within three to five business days and shipped via standard postal carriers.
