Is a Hobby Lobby Gildan shirt good for DTF and vinyl?
Yes. The Gildan 5000 is one of the most common blanks for DTF transfers and heat transfer vinyl. It is a 5.3 oz, 100% cotton tee on SanMar's spec sheet, so it takes standard cotton settings in the DTF temperature and time chart. The Gildan 5000 guide covers fit and colours, and the Gildan size chart gives measurements by size, including the larger sizes Hobby Lobby carries.
When to buy somewhere else
A craft store is convenient for a handful of shirts the same day. For larger orders, apparel distributors sell the same Gildan styles in case quantities, and offer more colours, youth and toddler sizes, and other brands. The wholesale blank apparel buying guide compares distributors and how to open an account, and the best t-shirt blanks guide compares Gildan with Bella+Canvas, Next Level and Comfort Colors.
