The 2027 NCAA Men's College World Series is scheduled for Friday, June 18 through Sunday, June 27, with a possible deciding game Monday, June 28, at Charles Schwab Field Omaha, according to the future-dates page of College World Series of Omaha, Inc. That page labels the dates "not final and subject to change." Open Practice Day is listed for Thursday, June 17. For Omaha print shops, the series brings eight teams' worth of traveling fans, watch parties back home, youth baseball teams on summer trips, and local businesses that want something baseball-themed for June. It also brings two sets of trademark owners: the NCAA and the universities. This guide covers the dates, the licensing rules, designs that avoid both, and Omaha shops that print DTF transfers.

2029June 14 (listed as Opening Celebration Day)June 15-24, possible final June 25
2030June 13June 14-23, possible final June 24

The 2026 row is from CWS Omaha's June 9, 2026 announcement; later years are from its future-dates page. The organizer says the series will be in Omaha for the next quarter century.

Charles Schwab Field Omaha sits at 808 N. 13th St. and seats 24,000, according to CWS Omaha. In a May 13, 2026 release, CWS Omaha reported roughly 370,000 fans over ten days at the 2025 series and an economic impact of $147.6 million for Omaha.

Fan Fest and the days before first pitch

The NCAA's free MCWS Fan Fest presented by Capital One sets up outside Gate 3 and along Mike Fahey Street. In 2026 it opened on Open Practice Day, June 11, from noon to 4 p.m. Central. Visit Omaha describes it as running daily during the series, with music, games, autograph sessions, and official merchandise for sale. Official merchandise at the stadium and Fan Fest is licensed product, which is a hint about the next section.

Who owns what on a College World Series shirt

There are two separate owners to think about.

The NCAA. The NCAA states that merchandise carrying NCAA trademarks, whether for retail sale or for use at championship events, is licensed through The Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC), and that prospective licensees work with CLC. When the NCAA introduced new Men's College World Series logos in 2009, it described them as the official mark of the championship, to appear on apparel and merchandise. Records summarized by Justia also show College World Series of Omaha, Inc. holding its own trademark filings, including for clothing. The full list of protected championship phrases was not available on the NCAA's site when this guide was written, so the safe assumption is that the championship's names and logos are protected. The universities. Team names, nicknames, logos, mascots, and colors used in a way that points to the school belong to each university. Syracuse University's trademark office, for example, says anyone who wants to use its trademarks on a product must have a license, and the University of Florida routes licensing applications through CLC. Most major athletic programs work the same way.

For a shop selling to the public, that means these are off limits without a license:

  • "Men's College World Series," "MCWS," and the championship logos
  • School names and nicknames used as team branding, such as a university's name over a baseball
  • School logos, mascots, and wordmarks, traced or redrawn
  • The word "official" anywhere near the event

Phrases fans associate with the series, such as "Road to Omaha," may also be claimed by one of the owners above. When a phrase is that closely tied to the event, leave it off unless the customer has a license.

This is general information, not legal advice. A team, booster club, or school that wants its own logo on shirts should get them through the school's licensing office or a licensed vendor.

Shirt ideas that stay clear of the marks

Omaha, baseball, and June are not owned by anyone. Designs that work for fans without borrowing a mark:

  • "Omaha 2027" with a generic baseball, bat, or diamond
  • "June in Omaha" or "Omaha, Nebraska" with the downtown skyline
  • Family trip shirts: last name, "Omaha Baseball Trip 2027," and the dates
  • Youth baseball team travel shirts: the youth team's own name and logo, which the team owns, plus "Omaha 2027"
  • Business promotions: a restaurant's or bar's own name with a baseball theme for June

What turns a generic design into an infringing one is pairing it with a school's colors, mascot, or name in a way that suggests the shirt comes from the team. Plain red, for example, is fine. Red with a recognizable mascot silhouette is not.

When to order College World Series shirts

The field of eight is not known until the super regionals finish, roughly a week before the series starts. That leaves two schedules:

  • Generic Omaha and baseball designs: order blanks in April and DTF transfers in May, and have stock pressed before Open Practice Day on June 17
  • Anything tied to a specific team's trip (for licensed sellers only): turnaround is about a week, which favors printing locally and keeping blanks on hand

DTF suits short-notice runs because there are no screens to burn. A gang sheet can hold several designs and sizes at once, which helps when the order changes daily.

Omaha shops that print DTF transfers

DTF Database lists these Omaha-area shops that sell DTF transfers or gang sheets:

  • Ready Press Co, Omaha: 22-inch roll transfers, a browser gang sheet builder, and same-day transfer printing
  • MJ Supply, Omaha: DTF gang sheets, glitter DTF, UV DTF cup wraps, and blank apparel
  • Anytime Tees, Council Bluffs, Iowa: DTF transfers, gang sheets, and ready-to-press prints
  • Hurrdat Brand Goods, Papillion: DTF transfers and gang sheets
  • Rodgers Marketing, Omaha: DTF transfers, gang sheets, and screen printing

The full list, including shops in La Vista, Ralston, Gretna, and Elkhorn, is on the Omaha DTF transfers page.

Frequently asked questions

When is the 2027 College World Series?

CWS of Omaha, Inc. lists the 2027 Men's College World Series as June 18-27, with a possible final game on June 28, at Charles Schwab Field Omaha. Open Practice Day is June 17. The organizer says the dates are not final and subject to change.

Can I sell shirts that say "College World Series"?

Not safely without a license. The NCAA says merchandise carrying its trademarks is licensed through The Collegiate Licensing Company, and it has called the MCWS logos the official mark of the championship. Generic designs with Omaha and baseball are the alternative.

Can I put a college team's logo on a fan shirt?

Only with a license from that school. University names, logos, and mascots used as team branding are trademarks, and most schools license them through CLC or a similar program. A team's own booster club should buy shirts through the school's licensed vendors.

What College World Series shirt designs are safe to print?

Designs built on Omaha, the year, baseball imagery, and June are open to anyone. "Omaha 2027" with a generic baseball, or a family's "Omaha Baseball Trip" shirt, says where the shirt is from without using the NCAA's or a school's marks.

Where can I get DTF transfers printed in Omaha?

DTF Database lists Ready Press Co and MJ Supply in Omaha, Anytime Tees in Council Bluffs, Hurrdat Brand Goods in Papillion, and other shops across the metro that print DTF transfers or gang sheets. The Omaha city page lists all of them.
