Haolic launched the XP-2, a 13-inch desktop DTF printer built on the Epson XP600 printhead, on October 15, 2026, with a launch price of $1,999 for the printer alone. The company, which lists an address in Carson, California, announced the XP-2 on October 14 as the third generation of its desktop line, after the XP-1 and XP-1 Pro. The changes are aimed at daily upkeep rather than speed: a touchscreen, one-touch head cleaning and ink priming, automatic film cutting, and a computer-free maintenance mode.

Haolic's launch page compares the XP-2 with the XP-1. Both are 13-inch XP600 printers with automatic white ink circulation. The XP-2 moves from a 42-series stepper motor to a 57-series motor with a 10 mm belt, replaces software-only head cleaning with a touchscreen button, swaps the manual film cutter for an automatic one, and adds an LED workspace light and dual maintenance doors.

The spec sheet lists Ethernet for the XP-2 and USB for the XP-1, while other product page copy says the computer's USB cable can be unplugged once a job has transferred. Buyers who care about networked printing should confirm the connection options with Haolic before ordering.

Launch pricing

Prices below were observed on Haolic's product page on October 15, 2026. Every configuration carries a higher "compare at" price, so treat these as launch pricing that can change.

Launch pricing
ConfigurationLaunch priceListed "compare at" priceWhat Haolic lists in the box
XP-2 printer$1,999$2,899Printer only
Basic$2,099$2,999Printer plus starter supplies (below)
XP-2 + Oven$2,399$3,399Basic plus a DTF curing oven
XP-2 + Smokeless Oven$2,499$3,499Basic plus a smokeless oven
XP-2 + Shaker$2,999$4,199Basic plus a shaker dryer
XP-2 + Smokeless Production$3,299$4,499Basic plus a smokeless shaker
All In One$3,399$4,599Basic plus a smokeless shaker and a heat press

The starter supplies in every bundle from Basic up are CMYK ink at 250 mL per color, 500 mL of white ink, a 13-inch by 100-meter film roll, and 1 kg of hot-melt powder. The $1,999 printer-only option includes no ink or film, so the $100 step up to Basic is the realistic starting point for a first DTF printer. Before launch, Haolic sold a $9 "Price Lock" that held a launch price for 90 days.

On the same day, Haolic's store listed the older XP-1 Pro at $2,389, which puts the newer XP-2 below its predecessor at launch.

What the maintenance features actually do

The XP600 is a common, inexpensive head, but it clogs when white ink sits still. Most of the XP-2's new features target that problem:

  • Automatic white ink circulation runs at startup to keep titanium dioxide from settling.
  • One-touch head cleaning and ink priming run from the touchscreen, without opening the RIP software.
  • Vacation Mode runs scheduled white ink circulation and light nozzle firing while the printer is powered on and no computer is connected.
  • Smart Sleep Mode turns the vacuum fan off after one minute of inactivity to cut noise and power use.

None of this removes the need for daily nozzle checks and capping-station cleaning, which every XP600 printer still needs. Our beginner DTF printer guide covers the routine.

How it compares

The closest match in the DTF printer directory is the HTVRONT D2, another 13-inch XP600 desktop printer with a touchscreen, automatic white ink circulation, and idle self-maintenance. HTVRONT launched the D2 at $2,599 in March 2026 and rates it at up to 16 feet per hour; Haolic rates the XP-2 at 16 square feet per hour. Those are different units, so the two figures are not directly comparable. See our HTVRONT D2 breakdown for that printer's bundles.

At the other end, Procolored's dual-head F13X costs more but doubles the heads. A single XP600 machine like the XP-2 fits a shop printing a few dozen shirts a day; a shop that regularly fills 100 prints a day will feel the limits of one head.

Who it fits

  • Home and side businesses that want a desktop printer under $2,000 and are willing to powder by hand or add an oven.
  • Owners of an XP-1 who are tired of manual film cutting and software-only cleaning.
  • Shops that already outsource transfers and want to bring small, fast jobs in-house. Our guide to buying a printer versus ordering transfers runs the math.

What to wait for: independent print samples and the warranty terms in writing.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does the Haolic XP-2 cost?

The Haolic XP-2 printer alone was listed at $1,999 at launch on October 15, 2026, against a "compare at" price of $2,899. Bundles with an oven, shaker, or both ran from $2,099 to $3,399. Launch prices can change, so check the product page before buying.

What printhead does the Haolic XP-2 use?

The XP-2 uses a single Epson XP600 printhead, the same head as the XP-1 and XP-1 Pro. Haolic rates it at up to 2160 dpi and 16 square feet per hour.

Does the Haolic XP-2 include a powder shaker?

Not in the base configuration. The $1,999 listing is the printer alone. The XP-2 + Shaker ($2,999), XP-2 + Smokeless Production ($3,299), and All In One ($3,399) bundles add a shaker dryer or smokeless shaker, and All In One also adds a heat press.

What is the difference between the Haolic XP-2 and XP-1?

Both print 13 inches wide with an XP600 head and automatic white ink circulation. The XP-2 adds a touchscreen, one-touch cleaning and priming, an automatic film cutter, a larger 57-series stepper motor with a 10 mm belt, dual maintenance doors, an LED work light, and Ethernet on the spec sheet.

Can the Haolic XP-2 print directly on shirts?

No. The XP-2 is a direct-to-film printer. It prints onto PET film, the print is powdered and cured, and the transfer is applied to the garment with a heat press.

Where it fits in the DTF Database

The XP-2 is now listed in the DTF printer directory with its launch price and the specs Haolic has not yet published. For pressing the finished transfers, use the DTF temperature and time chart, and see the DTF powder guide if you plan to powder by hand.
