Procolored F13X DTF Printer: Specs, Price, Launch Date

Procolored announced the F13X on September 18, 2026: a dual-printhead A3 direct-to-film printer rated at 27 Letter-size prints per hour, with camera-based nozzle checks and native Windows and macOS support. It carries a $3,399 list price and a $2,999 launch price, and it went on sale on Procolored's US store on October 15, 2026.

October 18, 2026 Update: On Sale, With the Missing Specs Filled In

The F13X went live on Procolored's US store on October 15, 2026, as scheduled, and the product page now answers most of the questions this article listed as unpublished. As of October 18, 2026:

• Printheads: two Epson XP600 heads, confirmed in Procolored's spec table and FAQ.
• Speed basis: the 27 Letter/A4 prints per hour figure is rated at 720 x 1440 dpi in 16-pass mode. A 1440 x 1440 dpi mode is also listed.
• Size and weight: 28.7 x 27.6 x 11.8 in (730 x 700 x 299 mm), 66.8 lb (30.3 kg). The shipping box weighs 94.8 lb.
• Power: about 69 to 72 W printing and 24 W on standby.
• Ink configuration: CMYK, white, and a maintenance liquid channel, with a 4.5 pL minimum drop size.
• RIP software: Procolored Studio, for Windows and macOS.
• In the box: the printer, a 250 ml CMYKW ink set, 250 ml of nozzle protection liquid, a 330 mm x 50 m film roll, and 500 g of DTF powder. Procolored ships the printer and film in one package and the ink and powder in a second.

Current prices. The printer-only Dual-Array F13X is $2,999 against a $3,399 compare-at price. Bundles add curing equipment: $3,499 with Procolored's Panda oven, $3,699 with the smokeless oven, and $4,499 with the shaker oven, with $200 to $300 more for each version that adds an auto heat press. Procolored's FAQ says the early-bird prices cover the printer only. A new Single-Array version. The page also lists a Single-Array F13X at $2,699 printer-only, marked "Coming Soon." Procolored has not explained on the page how the Single-Array configuration differs from the Dual-Array in head count or rated speed, so do not assume it keeps the 27-per-hour rating. Still not published: ink tank capacity and the F13X warranty term.

What Procolored Announced

Procolored Inc., founded in 2018 and focused on print-on-demand equipment, describes the F13X as a machine for small businesses that want to "produce more orders with less manual intervention." The headline changes over the company's single-head F13 are a second printhead, an automated maintenance package, and the removal of the USB software dongle.

The 27-per-hour figure is Procolored's number for Letter or A4 output. Real throughput depends on the amount of white ink in the design and the pass count, so treat it as a best case.

AI Nozzle Detection

The feature Procolored leads with is a camera that photographs the nozzle check strip and flags clogged or deflected nozzles, so the operator does not have to squint at a test print and decide whether a cleaning cycle is needed. Combined with automatic moisturizing of the printheads during standby, the goal is fewer dried nozzles after a weekend off. Mac Support Without a Dongle

Most desktop DTF printers ship with Windows-only RIP software locked to a USB key. Procolored states the F13X supports both Windows and macOS with no dongle. The product page now names the RIP as Procolored Studio, which runs on both systems.

Pricing and the Early-Bird Offer

Procolored's launch pricing has several tiers:

• MSRP: $3,399
• Launch price without a deposit: $2,999
• New customers who pay the $9.99 early-bird deposit: $2,899 ($100 off)
• Existing Procolored machine owners who pay the deposit: $2,799 ($200 off)

The deposit is non-refundable and is not applied to the purchase price. Deposit holders must complete payment between October 15 and November 14, 2026 (Pacific time) for the discount to apply. Procolored also promises a standard consumables kit plus six DTF ink sets, which it values at $1,030, delivered as discount vouchers within 14 business days after delivery confirmation.

What Procolored Has Not Published

Several details a buyer would normally check were missing from the announcement and product page as of September 21, 2026. Most are now answered in the October 18 update above; the original list is kept here for reference:

• The printhead model. Procolored's other 13-inch machines use Epson-derived heads, but the F13X page does not say which.
• Ink tank or cartridge capacity.
• Machine dimensions, weight, and power draw.
• The warranty term for the F13X specifically.
• Whether a powder shaker or curing oven is included. Procolored sells a smokeless DTF oven and a powder shaker as separate products, and the F13X listing does not mention either in the box.

How the F13X Compares

At $2,999 to $3,399 the F13X sits at the top of the 13-inch desktop tier. The HTVRONT D2 is a single-head XP600 machine at $2,599. Procolored's own F13 is $2,399 with one head. Above the F13X, the next meaningful step is a 16-inch to 24-inch roll printer with i1600 or i3200 heads, which starts around $5,000 and runs to the Roland VersaStudio BY2-20 at $7,995.
