STAHLS' Acquires Siser: What It Means for Decorators

STAHLS' announced on July 15, 2026 that Siser North America, the US arm of the Italian heat transfer vinyl maker, has joined the STAHLS' family of companies. Financial terms were not disclosed. Siser will keep operating under its own brand, and the deal follows STAHLS' becoming an official Siser HTV distributor in November 2025.

For a shop that presses DTF transfers alongside cut vinyl, the practical result is that the largest US heat press maker, one of the largest domestic DTF transfer printers, and the most widely used HTV brand now sit under one owner.

The Deal

STAHLS' is based in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. Its CEO, Carleen Gray, described the acquisition as a continuation of an existing relationship: "This next phase of our relationship with Siser allows us to focus on innovation and helping decorators succeed. Together, we are focused on delivering outstanding products, education, and support while continuing to create new opportunities for our customers and the industry as a whole."

What It Means for DTF Shops

One vendor for presses, DTF, and HTV. A decorator can now buy a Hotronix press, UltraColor MAX DTF transfers, and Siser EasyWeed from companies with the same owner. STAHLS' has said the goal is "integrated decoration solutions." Expect bundled education first, since both companies already run large training programs, and combined promotions second. Siser stays distributor-only. Siser has never sold direct to end users and the announcement does not change that. Shops that buy Siser from a local distributor or a craft retailer should see no immediate change. Whether those distributors keep the same terms over time is the open question, and neither company has addressed it. Consolidation is the 2026 pattern. This is the second major ownership change in the decorated apparel supply chain this year, after SanMar acquired Bella+Canvas in May. Both deals put a larger share of what a shop buys under fewer owners. For most decorators that is neutral or mildly positive in the short term and worth watching in the long term. HTV and DTF are complements, not rivals, in this deal. STAHLS' has spent two years positioning UltraColor MAX DTF as the answer for full-color work and HTV for single-color names, numbers, and specialty finishes.
