Texas Rodeo Season 2027: Dates and Shirt Ideas

Texas rodeo season 2027 runs from mid-January to late March, with four of the state's biggest stock shows back to back. The Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo opens January 15, San Antonio's starts February 11, Houston's runs March 2 to 21, and Rodeo Austin closes the season March 12 to 27. Each one brings orders from FFA and 4-H chapters, school groups, trail ride associations, offices, and families heading to the fairgrounds. The 2027 Texas rodeo calendar

Dates come from each organizer: Dickies Arena for Fort Worth, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo's own announcement, Rodeo Austin's ticket page, and the San Antonio dates as published by the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo and reported by KSAT. Houston's event schedule lists Go Texan Day, the BBQ contest, the parade, and the Rodeo Run. Fort Worth's 2027 All-Western Parade date had not been published as of Oct. 15, 2026; the 2026 parade was held on the show's first Saturday.

Who buys shirts during rodeo season

FFA and 4-H chapters. Students show livestock at all four shows. Chapters order matching shirts for show days and for parents in the stands. Chapter names and school names belong to the chapter or school; FFA and 4-H emblems are protected marks, so print the chapter's name and your own art unless the chapter supplies permission to use the emblem. Trail ride associations. Houston's trail riders arrive on Go Texan Day weekend. Ride clubs order shirts, caps, and jackets with the club name and the year. Go Texan Day offices and schools. Houston encourages people to wear western clothes on Go Texan Day, Friday, Feb. 26, 2027. Office teams and school campuses order western-themed shirts that are not tied to the rodeo's logo. BBQ cook-off teams. Houston's World's Championship Bar-B-Que Contest and BBQ Austin bring team shirts and aprons. Teams usually have their own name and logo, which is the easiest kind of order to print. Families and visitors. Concert nights sell out quickly at each show. San Antonio announced Keith Urban, Riley Green, Clint Black, Clay Walker, and the Marshall Tucker Band among its 2027 performers. Do not put an artist's name or likeness on a shirt for sale; that needs the artist's license.

Trademark lines to stay behind

Each rodeo's name and logo belong to the organizer. The Houston show marks RODEOHOUSTON with a registered trademark symbol on its own site and runs an official merchandise store. San Antonio, Fort Worth, and Austin also sell official merchandise. That means a shop should not print the rodeo's logo, its stylized wordmark, or its official event names in a way that looks like official merchandise.

What a shop can print: a customer's own team, club, or chapter name; generic western art (horses, boots, hats, cactus, rope, stars, longhorn skulls drawn from scratch); city names and the year; and phrases like "Rodeo Season," "Show Day," or "Stock Show Mom" that are not anyone's logo. • Early December: quote Fort Worth chapter orders. Fort Worth opens Jan. 15, and holiday shipping deadlines leave little room after that.
• Mid-January: San Antonio chapter and family orders. San Antonio opens Feb. 11.
• Early February: Houston trail ride, BBQ team, and Go Texan Day office orders, all due by Feb. 25.
• Mid-February: Rodeo Austin and BBQ Austin orders.
