M&R QUATRO DTF Printer: QUATRO 44 vs 68 Specs

M&R Printing Equipment, the Roselle, Illinois company best known for automatic screen printing presses, sells a complete 24-inch DTF line under the QUATRO name: two printers, a combined powder applicator and infrared dryer, two film cutters, and the ORBITER automatic application press. The QUATRO 44 prints CMYK plus white from four Epson i3200 heads. The QUATRO 68 adds orange, red, green, and violet from six heads. M&R does not publish prices. Buyers get a quote through M&R or its dealers.

M&R is bringing the QUATRO and ORBITER to Impressions Expo Dallas, October 21 to 23, 2026, at booth 681. It is one of the few places to see the system running outside M&R's own showroom.

QUATRO 44 vs QUATRO 68 specs

M&R's QUATRO landing page also lists a 4-pass mode at 320 x 2400 dpi and 120 linear feet per hour, which the product page's spec table does not include.

At 23.8 inches of printable width, 90 linear feet per hour works out to roughly 178 square feet of film per hour in 6-pass mode. That is gross film area, not a count of finished transfers, because gang sheet nesting and gaps decide how much of it is usable.

What comes with a QUATRO system

The QUATRO is sold as a system, not a bare printer. According to M&R, the purchase includes:

• Combination adhesive application system and quartz infrared dryer with an on-board bulk powder reservoir, two trays that catch excess powder for reuse, integrated exhaust filtration, and continuous temperature monitoring. M&R's "Positive Link System" keeps the film tracking in sync between printer, powder unit, and dryer.
• Bulk ink with white ink recirculation. M&R says QUATRO inks are made in the United States to ISO 9001 standards with a technology partner.
• Training. Two days of operator and maintenance training for two employees at M&R's SM&RT Academy in Roselle, Illinois, plus ongoing access to M&R's online video library.
• Support. M&R's 24/7/365 technical support hotline, a startup kit of ink, powder, and film, and a maintenance kit.

M&R's product page lists the support hotline under warranty and support but does not state a warranty term. Ask for it in writing with your quote.

The cutters matter because cutting gang sheets by hand is often the hidden labor cost in a DTF shop. The ORBITER goes after the other big labor step, pressing. It won the direct-to-film category at the 2026 Pinnacle Awards.

Who the QUATRO is for

This is a production system for shops already running automatic screen printing presses, or transfer wholesalers filling gang sheet orders all day. It needs 230-volt power at 34 amps, a 12 by 10 foot footprint, humidity control, and a floor that can take more than a ton of equipment. It is not a starter printer.
